INJURY REHAB
Whether an injury occurred at work, home, during a motor vehicle accident or in a sports setting, physical therapy can help. A physical therapist is qualified to perform a physical examination to determine the cause of your pain and limitation. Based on what is found on your examination, your therapist will tailor a treatment plan unique to you and your situation, and will give you activities to perform at home to prevent the reoccurrence. In many instances, physical therapy can help reduce or eliminate the need for pain medications.

AQUATIC THERAPY
Aquatic Therapy is a wonderful option for adults and children who have difficulty or limitation moving on land. Performed in a warm water pool maintained at 92-94 degrees, aquatic therapy reduces weight and stress on joints. The hydrostatic pressure also helps reduce swelling, improve heart and lung function and improve balance. Our pool is equipped with an ADA compliant lift to accommodate all abilities.

MANUAL THERAPY
Our physical therapists have advanced board certifications in both orthopedics (the study of bone, muscles and joints) as well as manual therapy. Manual therapy techniques are hands on treatments used to help improve joint mobility, decrease pain, and improve scar tissue and muscle guarding. Soft tissue massage, myofascial release, ASTYM or Graston Techniques, joint mobilization, and joint manipulation are all manual therapy techniques frequently used to help patients improve pain and function.

RUNNING ANALYSIS
When running hurts, physical therapy can help. Sometimes small changes in our running habits, a change in shoes, our distance running, or the route we take, can make big differences in our bodies. Our therapists use slow motion video analysis of your running technique to help make your rehabilitation as custom as possible and to improve your form. Better running form can help improve your speed as well as minimize your injury risk.

POST-OP REHAB
Surgeries can be intimidating and stressful times. Our physical therapists have many years of experience working with total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, ACL repairs, ORIF and more. We will work closely with your surgeon to ensure all parameters of your surgical protocol are being met, which will optimize your chances of a successful recovery. We hope that our experience will help take some of the stress out of the process so you can focus on healing.

ORTHOPEDICS
Orthopedics is the treatment of musculoskeletal problems. This includes bone, muscles, tendons and ligaments. As movement specialists, physical therapists are uniquely able to evaluate your movement and mobility, and how it can contribute to that nagging pain in the shoulder, knee, neck or back. All of our therapists are board certified orthopedic specialists (OCS,) meaning they have many years of experience and have passed a rigorous exam covering the newest research on orthopedic conditions. This allows the therapist to quickly identify your problem and design a treatment tailored to fit you. Our goal is to get you back to what you love to do, as soon as possible.

LUMBAR SPINE & SACROILIAC PAIN
Your low back and sacroiliac joints do a lot of work during the day to keep you upright. They help you bend, twist, pick up things, and they transfer all the weight from your upper body (and whatever you may be carrying) to the legs. Inefficient postures, weak or poorly timed muscle activation, and prolonged positions in our daily lives all contribute to low back pain. Our therapists use manual therapy to help the joints in your spine move more fluidly, and help train the deep stabilizing muscles in your abdominal region that can become weak while we are in pain.

POST-PARTUM CARE
Women’s bodies change after pregnancy. Whether a pregnancy ends in a vaginal delivery, a caesarian, or a loss, some of those changes stay with you for the rest of your life. Simply returning to your previous activity level and exercise can be painful and even dangerous in some instances. Physical therapy can help you build up your strength in a deliberate fashion, regardless of how long ago your pregnancy was. Our therapists can also work on scars following from caesarians or any other kind of abdominal surgery. Physical therapy also can correct pelvic and sacroiliac joint alignment to help decrease pain and improve posture.

BALANCE & FALL PREVENTION
Balance is a complex system made from a combination of several components: vision, proprioception, vestibular input and sensation. If any one of these systems has a deficiency, it will lead to an increased risk of falling. Falls are a leading cause of injury worldwide in both younger and older adults. Many people experience falls after an injury, a change in medications, or after an extended illness that caused them to weaken. Physical therapy can help reduce your chance of falls by doing a detailed balance examination and isolating which balance strategy is the weakest in a person. Therapy will then target that strategy with balance activities while maintaining a safe environment for the patient. Improving your balance will decrease your risk of falls and injury, keeping you independent and active longer.
